A new industrial park development in Umm Al Quwain marks another step in expanding manufacturing capabilities, integrating advanced technologies and supporting the UAE's industrial development objectives.
Umm Al Quwain has marked a new milestone in its industrial development with the commencement of work on a manufacturing and technology park designed to support local production, advanced industrial applications and technology integration.
The project aims to establish facilities for specialised manufacturing activities, bringing together equipment, software and engineering capabilities to support the development of industrial products and systems within the UAE.
The development is planned in three phases, allowing manufacturing facilities and supporting infrastructure to expand according to project requirements and operational readiness.
The industrial park is being developed by ALIF Holding, the industrial division of technology company Robo.ai Inc., which held the groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase on 25 September 2026.
The initial phase involves upgrading existing industrial premises covering approximately 8,845 square metres, preparing the facilities for equipment integration, assembly and manufacturing activities.
The second phase will focus on constructing additional factory buildings to accommodate expanded manufacturing operations, while the third phase will reserve land for future industrial development.
This phased approach is intended to support the gradual establishment of manufacturing capabilities as individual projects advance.
The development is designed to support the integration of advanced technologies into locally manufactured products and industrial systems.
Planned activities include specialised equipment manufacturing, engineering applications and the integration of hardware and software technologies.
These capabilities are expected to support industrial applications across several sectors, including environmental monitoring, infrastructure security and intelligent technology systems.
The project also aligns with the UAE's Operation 300Bn strategy, which aims to strengthen the country's industrial sector and increase its contribution to the national economy.
One of the first planned projects within the industrial park is Alif Maritec, which is expected to establish operations during the initial phase, subject to facility readiness and operational requirements.
Its proposed activities include oil-spill detection and response systems, water-quality verification technologies, land-border security solutions and AI-enabled monitoring systems for critical infrastructure.
The planned facilities will support the local production and integration of equipment and software used in these applications.
The development is intended to combine technological expertise with manufacturing capabilities in the UAE.
The developer aims to accommodate at least three project companies within the industrial park by the end of 2026, subject to the progress of facility preparations and individual projects.
The establishment of these companies will not necessarily mean that commercial manufacturing operations have commenced.
Production activities are expected to begin in stages, depending on construction progress, regulatory approvals, financing arrangements and operational readiness.
Future phases will provide additional manufacturing facilities and land for expansion as industrial requirements develop.
The commencement of work on the new industrial park represents a further development in Umm Al Quwain's manufacturing landscape.
The project brings together industrial infrastructure and advanced technology applications, reflecting the growing role of technology integration in manufacturing activities.
Its focus on specialised equipment, intelligent monitoring systems and local production aligns with broader national objectives to strengthen industrial capabilities and support manufacturing development.
As work progresses, the industrial park is expected to accommodate additional projects in line with its phased development plans, contributing to the expansion of manufacturing and technology-related activities in Umm Al Quwain.
